Finished Size

8 x 8 inches


  • Plymouth Yarn Encore Worsted (worsted weight; 75% acrylic/25% wool; 200 yds/100g per skein): 1 skein (makes approx five 8 x 8-inch squares)
  • Size 7 (4.5mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge


16 sts = 4 inches/10cm in Seed St. To save time, take time to check gauge.

Pattern Stitch
Seed St (multiple of 2 sts)
Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from * across.
Row 2: *P1, k1; rep from * across.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for pat.

8 x 8-Inch Stitch Square
Cast on 32 sts.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 of Seed St until square measures 8 inches. Bind off.
