Front Band
With smaller circular needle and RS facing, beg at lower right front edge. Pick up and knit 30 (38, 46) sts to first neck dec, 21 (26, 30) sts along neck edge, 22 (24, 26) sts across back neck, 21 (26, 30) sts along left neck edge, and 30 (38, 46) sts to lower left edge. Work in garter st for 1/2 inch. On next row, work 3 buttonholes evenly spaced from bottom edge to beg of V-neck, by binding off 4 sts for each buttonhole on the next row, and casting on 4 sts over each buttonhole on the following row. Continue to work in garter st until band measures approx 1 inch, ending with a WS row. Bind off all sts.
Sew buttons opposite buttonholes.
