From Our Readers

Love the magazine! My kids and grandkids have all kinds of projects picked from them for me to make! I think I'll have to hide my next issue from them so I can catch up!!!

I am soooo impressed with your Sept. issue. Our Community Ed. asked if I would teach a knitting class. Your magazine has so many suggestions for projects that a beginner would be able to accomplish. I have almost worn the magazine out just reading and re-reading it. I even like the ads.

By the way, now I am an older knitter. I used to be a 20 year old knitter. When I first tried to knit, I couldn't get the hang of how to hold my thread and the two needles. My husband, who is a millwright (mechanic) by trade, showed me how to hold the needles and thread and learn the stitches. He doesn't knit, but he was a great teacher. Since then I have been knitting for our family through football games, dr. appts., piano lessons, lectures. You name it, I have had busy hands while attending. I think it is such a portable skill. Where else could you cheer your little one on and not miss a stitch? Thanks again for a great magazine.

I have decided Creative Knitting is my favorite magazine. I always find at least one item that I MUST knit! And I find several more ideas to adapt to what I want. That is not true of any of the others. Thanks for a great publication.

I bought your magazine yesterday at Barnes & Noble to get an idea of what knitting is about before my mother-in-law teaches me.

I enjoyed your September Editor's Letter about the typical knitter. It's interesting that celebrities (male and female) knit. If you haven't seen it before, you should watch Mr. Lucky, a 1943 Cary Grant movie in which he portrays a shifty gambler who joins a war relief organization under false pretenses. The part where Grant learns to knit is pretty funny.

Great ideas in the September issue. I look forward to the next one.

I have just loved the September issue until it has fallen apart! I've actually had to put my favorite patterns into sheet protectors! Thank you so much for the Pebble Rib Slipper Socks Pattern! I have made 4 pairs and counting. I am now trying color striping on the cuff, changing up the sole colors and using a smaller needle to make a shorter and more snug cuff for those of us in warmer climbates. (I live in AZ.) Everyone I know will be getting them for Christmas! Thanks again for a fun and easy pattern for a new knitter!

Hi, I love your magazine, I got a subscription last Christmas, and I have knitted at least one project in each of them. Keep up the good work and I will re-subscribe next year. Thank you, Creative Knitting.

Hi, The July 2006 issue is my first issue of Creative Knitting magazine. I am so happy!! This is the best knitting magazine I have ever seen. I am a beginner knitter and I have found numerous projects that will be ideal for me to make. I have made my 9 year old daughter the surfer girl halter top already (and i have only had the magazine 1 day!). Thank you so much for the best magazine ever!!

Hi! I just recieved my new copy of Creative Knitting magazine and I was so pleased to read the article about the Breast Cancer Scarves. One of my mother's sisters is going through chemo and soon to have radiation and from there we do not know. Mother lost her youngest sister couple of years ago due to complications from cancer and chemo. I had a scare myself a few years back, so, you can see why I am so interested in making people more aware about cancer awareness. I absolutely love the magazine and eagerly look forward to each issue. Keep up the Good Work!!!!!!!!!!

I have subscribed to your magazine for several years. In that time I have needed the assistance of your Pattern Services Department a few times. I'd like you to know that each and every time I have called I had extremely excellent and friendly service. Thank you for your magazine and for your wonderful staff.

Just wanted to thank you for all the pretty projects in the July 2006 issue. It was a feast for sore eyes. With many garments geared for the new knitter or the young, hip knitter it can be difficult to find truly pretty patterns like the cut-away cardigan and the lacy waves poncho.
