From Our Readers

I keep a list of what projects I like out of every magazine I get so I can easily find a projects instructions when I get the 'itch'. While other magazines seem to have 1 or 2 projects in them that I like, I seem to pick out almost all of the projects of every issue of your magazine. The only ones I don't choose are ONLY because I have no little children in my life right now. Otherwise, your patterns are incredible and I especially like all the different patterns....from clothing to hot pads for the kitchen! Please keep up the quality of you magazine. I LOVE IT!

Even though I'm still new to knitting, I did make my first sweater, the "Sunny Stripes" sweater. I made it in a solid but I'm thrilled to actually make one. I was always too scared to try before because they looked like hard projects. This pattern said it was easy and with a little help from my 96 year old aunt, it went pretty smoothly. Thanks for the easy pattern. It gave me the confidience to try other patterns.

I love, love, love the magazine! My favorite is the try a new stitch and dishcloths!! Please don't take that one out! Thank you so much for letting me congratulate you on a wonderful magazine. Yours is the only magazine that I will subscribe to, the other's have been too expensive and the content is not of your caliber!
-- Darlin K.
I love Creative Knitting magazine. It is both informative and so colorful. I enjoy just looking through it first and then choosing my projects. Too bad there are just not enough hours in the day to do all that I would like to accomplish! Thank you for creating such an attractive magazine!

I am pretty much "coming back" to knitting, and I do consider myself a beginner. But the easy instructions and tutorials in your magazine, as well as the great mix of projects make me feel confident in wanting to attempt to knit most of the projects. I really enjoy your magazine, I'd only wish I had more time to make everything I want from it!
-- Lucy S.
I like the technique explainations in the magazine along with the patterns.

I just received my July 2009 issue of Creative Knitting in the mail and wanted to tell you how very much I'm enjoying it. I'd like to tell you why.

1. The number one reason I liked this issue was: HOORAY!!!!! None, I repeat, none of the sweaters were "cropped." Somebody finally got the message. The cropped-type sweater was a style that outlasted its welcome a long time ago. They're not attractive on most women, especially those that have a less than perfect figure, they're not professional looking so they're almost useless for us working women, and they're certainly not warm enough for an air conditioned office. So I've never even had the remotest desire to knit, purchase or wear one of them. But I was very pleased with the length of the longer sweaters in this issue.

2. Another reason I liked this issue is that several of the sweaters had sleeves that were almost elbow length. The longer sleeve looks more professional for those who, like me, wear these types of garments in the office, yet are still short enough to be appropriate for summer wear.

3. I loved the child's sweater on pg. 64-65. I actually have many more young boys to knit for than girls, and most of the time I find more patterns for girls' sweaters than for boys. Since this one could be unisex, I can make for either and the young boys in my life won't be short changed.

4. The afghan knit in strips was to die for. I love afghans knit in strips because about 75% of my knitting is "take along" projects that I knit while commuting to work, waiting in Doctors offices, waiting to meet friends at restaurants for lunch or dinner, and so on. An afghan made of strips is the perfect take along project. Small enough to carry along, but large enough that there isn't nearly as much stitching together to do at the end. And this one's colors were gorgeous. It will be my very next afghan project.

5. Someone was reading my mind when they designed "Natural Necessities." I've just started knitting several hand towels and washcloths for Christmas presents, and I can't wait to try these. Perfect.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm subscribing and I'm looking forward to more. Keep up the good work!

I am a fairly new knitter. I can't tell you how much your magazine has helped me with tips and techniques and best of all are the plus size patterns!! I can't wait to get each issue. The only hard part is deciding which pattern I will use first. Keep up the fantastic work!
-- Leigh K.
I love the magazine and love the mixture of patterns.

You have a good mix of projects. I find something in every issue I want to do. The fashion is basic and fun. Thank you.
