Pauline asks a great question:

"In a recent newsletter, Mary wrote that she made afghans from leftover yarn and donated them to the National Institutes of Health. I have used leftover yarns to make granny-square afghans and am interested in doing a different pattern. I wonder if there are other patterns one can use for small amounts of different colors of yarn to make afghans? I have a large stash of yarn, with only one or two skeins of each color, as well as some with much less than a skein."

That's a great question! How about it, readers? Do you have any suggestions for Pauline? I'll print the best of your ideas for this type of project! -- Editor
