Approx 42 x 48 inches
Materials
- Plymouth Sinsation 80 percent rayon/20 percent wool bulky weight yarn (38 yds/50g per ball): 6 balls cream #3301 (A)
- Plymouth Parrot 100 percent nylon super bulky novelty yarn (28 yds/50g per ball): 5 balls ivory #43 (B)
- Plymouth Yukon 35 percent mohair/35 percent wool/30 percent acrylic super bulky weight yarn (59 yds/100g per ball): 5 balls pink #959 (C)
- Size 15 (10mm) 32-inch circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
- Stitch markers
Gauge
8 sts and 11 rows = 4 inches/10cm in 1930s Fan pat
To save time, take time to check gauge.
Pattern Notes
Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of sts. Do not join; work in rows.
Place markers between each pat rep.
Pattern Stitch
1930s Fan (Multiple of 17sts + 4)
Rows 1 (RS)-4: With A, knit.
Row 5: With C, k2, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 5 times, yo, [k2tog] 3 times; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 6: With C, k2, purl to last 2 sts, k2.
Rows 7-12: [Rep Rows 5 and 6] 3 times.
Rows 13-16: With A, knit.
Rows 17-20: With B, knit.
Rows 21-24: With A, knit.
Rep Rows 1-24 for pat.
Throw
With B, loosely cast on 89 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Work even in 1930s Fan pat until 6 full reps have been completed.
Rep Rows 1-20.
Bind off loosely with B.
