Argyle Damask Vest

The pattern we're including in this newsletter is just right for the cooler days ahead. Kathleen Power Johnson designed her versatile Argyle Damask Vest with layering in mind. Simple knits and purls constitute the pattern of traditional Argyle stitching. Choose the cotton yarn suggested or use any worsted yarn you desire. A solid color yarn will best display your lovely stitches for this vest; the back is Stockinette stitch for speedy knitting! Try using a couple of Post-it notes to keep your place on the graph, and place them just above the line you are working for the least confusion. Enlarging the graph is helpful to work the chart easily; you may want to tape several sheets together to make an actual-size graph.
