New Season: Knit and Crochet Now!
A brand-new season of Knit and Crochet Now! will begin airing on public television stations this October! Squeal! Get ready for 13 episodes featuring all-new projects presented by host Brett Bara, crochet experts Robyn Chachula and Ellen Gormley, and knitting experts Kristin Nicholas and Maggie Pace.
Over the course of the season, they'll make afghans and baby clothes, pocketbooks and sweaters. Take a look at gifts for men and coats for your canine friends, and learn how to use a knitting loom. They are even going to explore alternative fibers, using yarns made from mink, milk and recycled denim.
Their afghan square of the week has been replaced by a new segment -- the scarf of the week. They'll work with exciting new yarns and interesting stitch patterns to create versatile accessories for the whole family. As always, full instructions for each of the featured projects will be available on their website at KnitandCrochetNow.com.
Unlike the commercial networks, each public television station sets its own schedule, choosing from a broad range of programs offered by distributors like American Public Television (our distributor) and PBS. If your local station doesn't currently carry Knit and Crochet Now!, write to them and request that they do! In public television, your opinion counts, particularly if you are a paying member. Let your local station know you would like to see Knit and Crochet Now! broadcast in your area.
