You'll never lose your glasses in this colorful buttoned case. Single crochet adds the finishing touch to this beginner-level project.

Materials
- Lorna's Laces Bullfrogs & Butterflies 85 percent wool/15 percent mohair worsted weight yarn (190 yds/40oz per skein): partial skein child's play #62
- Size 9 (5.5mm) needles
- Size I/9 (5.5mm) crochet hook
- Novelty button or bead
Gauge
20 sts = 4 inches/10cm in pat.
To save time, take time to check gauge.

Pattern Stitch
Granite St (multiple of 2 sts)
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2: *K2tog, rep from * across.
Row 3: [K1, p1] into same st, rep from * across.
Row 4: Purl.
Rep Rows 1-4 for pat.
Case
Cast on 20 sts. Work even in pat until piece measures approximately 15 1/2 inches from beg, ending with Row 2. Bind off loosely. Cut yarn.
Finishing
Referring to Fig. 1, fold case along A-B and pin. Starting at B, single crochet through both layers to C, then around flap only to D. Single crochet 3 in corner st at D, single crochet to E. Ch 8, or number needed to go around button, single crochet in same st, single crochet to F, 3 single crochet in corner st at F, single crochet to G, then through both layers to A. Fasten off.
