"In response to the woman who is designing her own patterns and wants to keep track of her changes to the designs, I find myself in the same situation with cooking. I try new things, and then the next time I go to make the recipe, I can't remember what worked and what didn't. Thus, I became quite detailed in my note taking: '6/23/10, tried using this instead of that -- worked well, but next time would try adding this as well.' or 'Set timer for 25 min. instead of 30 & keep checking -- last time it was a bit overdone.'
