"I have responses to two questions. First, to the question of how to keep track when designing a sweater. My experience has taught me to keep a knitting journal where I write the pattern down (either at the beginning or where I go independently on the garment I am designing). If there are adjustments to be made, I then go back to the journal, cross off the written word and rewrite the adjustment. At the end of the design, I have a written pattern that matches the design perfectly! Second, to the question of the sweater riding up in the back: I had Cushing's disease, which left me with a buffalo hump at the base of my neck. This was a problem until I took a class with Lily Chin, who instructed me to drop the back of my neckline two inches from the shoulder. This correction worked beautifully. Although I have heard of the short-row solution, I suggest giving Lily's recommendation a try -- it worked for me!"
