A few weeks ago, I ventured to Long Beach, Calif., to attend The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA) Trade Show. This is an exciting event that happens twice a year where yarn companies, designers and publishers come together all under one roof to preview the latest yarns and knitting supplies, books and accessories of all kinds. This year, the focus was all on spring knitting at its finest, and I just have to share the love!
TNNA is one my favorite shows, and I look forward to attending each new season because I look forward to connecting with so many designers and industry professionals. Some amazing things happen when you put a bunch of knitters and yarn in one big room!
Creative Knitting is part of Annie’s, one of the country’s largest craft retailers. Having a booth is such a benefit because it serves as a “hub” to meet new designers and connect with industry colleagues and yarn shops. It really is like catching up with old friends.
We also indulged in a special treat at the Annie’s booth to welcome the popular TV show Knit and Crochet Now! to the Annie’s family. At the event, we served up California s’mores. There was nothing messy about these—they were offered in a sweet little ramekin along with a dainty spoon ’cause sticky fingers and yarn don’t mix!
So here’s my sneak peek at some yarns and other knitting must-have’s soon to arrive in a shop near you:
Something always magical at Alchemy Yarns!
We’re in love with Sweet Georgia.
- It’s all about color this Spring…
And Exquisite yarns that glisten at Tahki Stacy Charles
Last but not least, some eye candy from Manos del Uruguay.
