If you’re looking for some instant gratification, and you’ve got only a couple of hours to spare, you’ll love making the 2-Hour Mittens, featured in the Winter 2012 issue of Creative Knitting magazine. These mittens are made using a super-chunky yarn that produces 2 ½ stitches per inch on a size 13 needle.
The pattern suggests double-point needles for this project, but if you find these to be awkward, there are other methods that you can try. One of my personal favorites is Magic Loop. Check out this post for a quick tutorial using this technique.

I’d love to get your feedback. Let me know what method you chose to make these mittens. Did you use the suggested yarn or choose something different? Did you make them for a special holiday gift, or add your own special embellishments? Are you one of those speedy knitters that made these in less than 2 hours? Leave a comment on this post and your story just might make it into the Creative Letters section of Creative Knitting magazine!
